  • Introduction: The City of Gardner will host an educational exhibit to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Jan. 17, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Jan. 20, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The City of Gardner will host an educational exhibit to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Jan. 17, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Jan. 20, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The exhibit, located in the City Hall Council Chambers, 120 E. Main St., will feature displays highlighting King’s life as it relates to the Civil Rights Movement, his distinct focus on service, and his death.

All members of the public are invited to attend to learn more about one of the most prominent leaders of the civil rights movement and the principles he dedicated his life for, such as social justice, community service, non-violence, diversity, hope and love.

The exhibit also includes a children’s work/play area where young learners can advance their knowledge about King and understand why he is commemorated each year.
