City to begin annual pavement management projects on Friday
On Friday, May 15, the City of Gardner will kick off year five of its annual Pavement Management Program. To date, the program has provided chip seal, fog seal, and asphalt surface treatments to more than 90 percent of the city's residential roadways, significantly extending the life of those pavements.
Weather permitting, contractors will begin asphalt work on Warren Street, from Pine Street to Center Street, and from Center Street to Elm Street. The project will also include improvements to Meadowbrook Drive, from Main Street to Warren Street. Residents in these areas should remove parked cars from streets, and motorists should follow the signed detour. (Door notices were provided to those impacted by the project.)
