PRESENTATIONS
1. Join with the Mayor in participating in a nation-wide Moment of Remembrance on 9/11 to commemorate the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
2. Join with the Mayor in proclaiming the month of September 2011 as Leukemia, Lymphoma & Myeloma Awareness Month.
3. Join with the Mayor in proclaiming the week of September 17 through 23, 2011 as Constitution Week.
4. Presentation on Energy Efficient Building Codes.

Members of the public are welcome to use this time to make comments about City matters or items on the agenda that are not part of a public hearing.
CONSENT AGENDA
1. Standing approval of the minutes as written for the meeting on August 15, 2011.
2. Standing approval of the minutes as written for the meeting on August 22, 2011.
3. Standing approval of the expenditures prepared on August 12, 2011 in the amount of $122,752.33, on August 19, 2011 in the amount of $134,593.27 and on August 19, 2011 in the amount of $23,078.50.
4. Consider authorizing the Interim City Administrator to extend the contract with Gardner Disposal Service for refuse hauling/recycling services.
NEW BUSINESS
1. Consider authorizing the purchase of a ½ ton pick-up truck for the Operations Division of Public Works from Shawnee Mission Ford.
2. Consider authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the Mid-American Regional Council in acceptance with the Memorandum of Understanding provided by MARC pertaining to street light retrofits grant.
3. Consider authorizing the Interim City Administrator to execute a contract with Cordray Construction for roof replacement at the Hillsdale Water Treatment Plant.
4. Consider directing staff on potential changes to Ordinance 2175 - Animal Control and Protection.
5. Consider authorizing the Mayor to execute the Second Amendment to the Agreement with the Board of Johnson County Commissioners for water supply to the New Century Air Center.
6. Consider adopting a resolution consenting to the enlargement of a Johnson County Wastewater Consolidated Main Sewer District to provide sanitary sewer service to Gardner Lake.
7. Consider repealing Resolution No. 1856 and adopting a resolution establishing various fees and charges in Title 12 – Streets, Sidewalks and Public Property; Title 13 – Utilities; Title 14 – Floodplain Management; Title 15 – Buildings and Construction; Title 17 – Subdivision Regulations; Title 18 – Zoning.
8. Consider authorizing the Interim City Administrator to execute Supplemental Agreement No. 1 to the August 3, 2010, engineering services agreement with H.W. Lochner, Inc., for Airfield Drainage Improvements at Gardner Municipal Airport.
9. Consider authorizing the Interim City Administrator to execute a Grant Offer Acceptance Agreement with the Federal Aviation Administration for a Gardner Municipal Airport Airfield Drainage Improvements (Final Design).
10. Consider authorizing the Interim City Administrator to execute a 5-year renewal agreement with Sungard Public Sector.
11. Consider holding an executive session to discuss personnel matters relating to non-elected personnel, specifically regarding applicants for the City Administrator position.
