Commercial Building Permits

New Commercial Construction
Contractors applying for new commercial construction should submit the following to the Codes Division:

• Completed Building Permit Application
• Three complete sets of drawings 
• Site plan approved by or submitted to Planning and Zoning

All contractors, including subcontractors, must hold a Johnson County Contractor's license.

Tenant Finish
Contractors applying for a tenant finish permit should submit the following to the Codes Division:

• Completed Building Permit Application
• Two complete sets of drawings

All contractors, including subcontractors, must hold a Johnson County Contractor's license.
