Business Sign Permits

Permanent Signs
Permanent business signs within the city limits require a sign permit.  Along with a completed Sign Permit Application, please submit the following documentation to the Codes Division:

• A scale drawing showing the dimensions, material and colors of the proposed sign.  If not to scale, include all dimensions.

• A scaled plot plan of the lot indicating the proposed location of the sign.  If not to scale, include all dimensions.

• A drawing or photo showing all existing signs and the square footage of each sign.

• Written approval to erect the sign from the property owner (if applicant is not property owner or legal tenant).

The fee for all permanent sign permits is $20.

Temporary Signs/Banners
Temporary business signs/banners within the city limits also require a sign permit but there is no permit fee.  Along with a completed Sign Permit Application, please submit a drawing of the proposed banner which indicates the dimensions and the content of the banner.
