QUICK LINKS

Child Safety

Several programs are offered by the Gardner Department of Public Safety to help insure the safety of children in our community.

Registered Offenders

The Gardner Department of Public Safety cares about our children that reside in the city of Gardner and would like to share two websites that are open to the public to view regarding registered offenders that reside in our community.  These websites are useful for parents, teachers, daycare providers and every person in a child's life.  The below links can be used to find registered offenders that may reside in the area of a residence or school.  If you have any questions regarding these links, please contact the Gardner Department of Public Safety for assistance in their use.

I-Denti-Kid Program

The Gardner Department of Public Safety provides fingerprinting for children at the Department of Public Safety Building.  Parents need to bring with them the fingerprint cards and an officer will then fingerprint your child(ren) and return the fingerprint card back to you for your records.  There is no charge for this service and no appointment is necessary.  Officers can also become involved in any I-Denti-Kid projects that the public requests they be involved in.  If your organization would like an officer to provide fingerprinting for your I-Denti-Kid program, contact the Gardner Department of Public Safety to schedule.

Bicycle Safety

The Gardner Department of Public Safety also assists the Gardner Parks and Recreation Department with their annual Bicycle Rodeo.  Officers participate in engraving identification numbers on your child(ren) bicycle for later identification purposes.  Engraving is also available at the Gardner Department of Public Safety Building.  There is no charge for this service and no appointment is necessary.  If you desire to have your child's bicycle engraved, please be present with them to inform the officer what identification number you desire to be placed on the bicycle.
