Meeting Times

The Gardner City Council meets at City Hall on the 1st and 3rd Monday’s of the month at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers.  Council also meets for a work session on the 2nd Monday of the month at 6 p.m. and, as needed, on the 4th Monday of the month at 6 p.m. All meetings of the City Council are open to the public. 

Agendas and Minutes

Agendas for City Council meetings and work sessions are available on the City's website or at City Hall the Friday before the meeting.  Once approved, the minutes are posted on the City's website or are available by contacting the City Clerk's office.

Responsibilities of the Council

The Mayor and City Council are responsible for establishing and enforcing all municipal laws and assuring that municipal services meet the desires of the community.  The Mayor and Council formulate policies guiding the operation of the City Organization.  The Mayor, with the consent of the Council, appoints members of the Planning Commission and establishes special committees as needed.  City Council Members and the Mayor are elected at large, with staggered four year terms.
