The Gardner Multi Service Center is funded by Johnson County and offers financial assistance with utility payments to the residents of Gardner.  Interested parties can apply at any time during the year for utility assistance.  For more information about this program and to obtain an application, please contact the Gardner Multi Service Center at 913-856-7405.

The Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP) is a federally funded program that helps eligible households pay a portion of their home energy costs.  The application period to apply for LIEAP benefits is from January 17 to March 31, 2006.  To find out if you are eligible for LIEAP assistance or to get more information about the program, visit the LIEAP website.  You may also obtain an application and more information about the program by calling the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services at 1-800-432-0043.
