The Citizens Police Advisory Committee was established by the City Council on November 2, 2015 by Resolution No. 1937 and updated on June 17, 2019 by Resolution 2026.

The City of Gardner is accepting applications for two positions on the Citizens Police Advisory Committee. The Citizens Police Advisory Committee acts in an advisory capacity only and shall have no actual or apparent authority or powers to take any legal action or create any binding legal obligations on behalf of the City. Preferred members shall be at least 18 years of age or older, a registered voter, and a resident of the City of Gardner or be otherwise connected to the community in terms of property ownership or business affairs. Applications are due by Friday, November 1 at 5:00 p.m.  

To apply for any Citizens Advisory Committee, please email the City Clerk's office at with the following information:

  • • Address
  • • Which Committee(s) you are interested in serving on
  • • A paragraph explaining your interest in serving

Applications remain on file for consideration in the City Clerk's office for one year unless the applicant is appointed to a Board of Commission or a written request for removal from consideration from the applicant is received by the City Clerk's office. For questions or more information, contact the City Clerk's Office at 913-856-0945 or

Meeting Schedule

Meets quarterly and as needed at 7:00 p.m. in the community room at the Justice Center, 16540 N. Moonlight Road.
