The Economic Development Advisory Committee was established by the City Council on November 2, 2015 by Resolution No. 1935 and updated June 17, 2019 by Resolution 2026.

The City of Gardner is currently accepting applications for open positions on the Economic Development Advisory Committee. The EDAC advises the City Council on the attraction and expansion of business, retail, industrial and commercial development which is consistent with the City's comprehensive plan. Preferred members shall be at least 18 years of age and a resident of the City of Gardner. 

To apply for any Citizens Advisory Committee, please email the City Clerk's office at cityclerk@gardnerkansas.gov with the following information:

  • • Name
  • • Address
  • • Which Committee(s) you are interested in serving on
  • • A paragraph explaining your interest in serving

Applications remain on file for consideration in the City Clerk's office for one year unless the applicant is appointed to a Board of Commission or a written request for removal from consideration from the applicant is received by the City Clerk's office. For questions or more information, contact the City Clerk's Office at 913-856-0945 or cityclerk@gardnerkansas.gov.
