Welcome and thank you for visiting the City of Gardner Police Department’s web page. I hope you find the information contained on our site helpful, and it increases your awareness of our commitment to providing the highest level of service to keep our citizens safe and informed.

I believe the Gardner Police Department, comprised of 33 police officers and 5 civilian employees, is one of the most dedicated and professional law enforcement organizations in the nation. It is our mission to protect and serve, but it is also an honor and duty to serve our citizens with respect, integrity, and professionalism in all aspects of our operations.

Gardner is often ranked as one of the safest cities in Kansas. While we attribute this success to the daily efforts of our men and women in uniform and our support staff, we know it’s also because of our partnership with our biggest supporters – our residents. Our citizens recently demonstrated their ongoing support with the opening of our new Gardner Justice Center. In August of 2017, our citizens voted in support of a bond to fund the construction of the facility, which will be our home for many years to come.  We are forever grateful for our residents exhibited support, and we will continue to work hard to maintain their confidence and trust to safeguard this successful partnership.

Finally, we are always looking for intelligent, kind, and service-oriented individuals to join our team. We offer an exceptional learning environment, a rewarding career, and an opportunity to impact the lives of others positively.

Thank you again for visiting our page. I encourage you to peruse the site to better understand our efforts to proactively address the needs of our community, enhance our public safety services, and enrich the quality of life in the City of Gardner now and well into the future.

Please feel free at any time to contact any of our officers or civilian employees with any questions or concerns. We are here to serve you!
