The Prairie Punisher Duathlon offers a short course and a 15K run, 5K run and 5K walk. The short course is a 5K run, 27.5K bike, and a 5K run. A team duathlon race will also be held. (Team duathlon on short course only).

The Prairie Punisher Duathlon is a USAT sanctioned event, all USAT rules apply including:
• A helmet must be worn during the bike segment.
• No drafting will be allowed.
Additionally,
• An entrant may not transfer his/her entry. Substitutes will not be allowed to participate.
• No strollers, joggers, or headphones will be allowed on the runs.
• All entrants must be checked-in between 5:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m., Saturday, July 28th.
Chip Timing will be used! A $50.00 fee will be charged if chip is not returned.
The duathlon open to all individuals, age 15 and older. The 15K run, 5K run, and 5K walk are open to all age groups. Competitors under 18 years of age must have parental/guardian consent-parent or guardian must sign registration form to be accepted.
Early registration is encouraged! There will be no race day registration. Click here to register online. If registering by mail, send registration form and check to Gardner Parks and Recreation, 120 E. Main, Gardner, KS 66030. Make checks payable to Gardner Parks and Recreation. Do not mail entry after July 22nd. You may register at packet-pick up.
Confirmation notice and additional information will be mailed on July 22nd to all entries received by that date. Packet pick-up and late registration will be Friday, July 25th from 7:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Awards will be based on participants' ages as of December 31, 2008 due to USAT requirements, not age on race day.
• Short Course Duathlon, 15K, and 5K
Awards will be given to 1st and 2nd Overall Male and Female in each age group: 18 and under, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+.
• Short Course Duathlon Teams
1st place medals will be awarded for Co-Ed, Male, and Female.
