This presentation is designed for men, women, boys and girls of all ages who want to learn how to best avoid becoming a victim. We will discuss personal safety in your home, automobile and in-public settings. You will also learn about internet crime and how to stay away from online predators.
This presentation will be given by Sergeant Steven Benz from the Gardner Department of Public Safety. Sergeant Benz was a Defensive Tactics Instructor at the Johnson County Regional Police Academy for 10 years and was the University of Kansas Judo instructor for two years.
Note: Although several self-defense techniques will be demonstrated during this seminar, participants will not be asked to do any physical activity.
